The consolidation of the “La Alcaidesa” urbanization, located in the Campo de Gibraltar area, along with the creation of a second golf course, generated the need to design a clubhouse that would serve both courses and act as a social hub for the entire community.
With a broad and ambitious program, the project was developed with an approximate built area of 3,500 m². Positioned at the highest point of a hill, the clubhouse becomes the central reference point around which the 36 holes of golf are organized.
Given its prominent location and significance, the building was conceived with the character of a fortress.
Climatic conditions, along with the variety of potential uses, led to the design of large, solid volumes and protective walls with carefully placed openings that not only provide shelter but also frame the most striking views of the landscape.
At the heart of the design is a circular courtyard, conceived as the main axis of circulation. From here, one side leads to the purely golf-related areas, such as locker rooms, the pro shop, and caddie master, as well as to the club offices, which are located on the upper floor with commanding views of the course.
On the other side, the courtyard connects to the restaurant and multipurpose event rooms, which have independent access points, allowing them to host various events simultaneously without interference.
