Former Director of Planning & Design

Maurice Sáinz served as CEO and Lead Architect of MS Design & Architecture.

Trained at the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Maurice joined the family firm after completing his studies, carrying forward and elevating a legacy that has shaped the architectural identity of the Costa del Sol and the Mediterranean for over five decades.

Under his leadership, MS Design & Architecture remained a benchmark in luxury architecture, specializing in bespoke high-end villas, sophisticated commercial spaces, and large-scale urban developments across Spain and internationally. His design philosophy centered on a contemporary reinterpretation of Andalusian architecture, where natural light, terrain topography, and seamless integration with the surrounding landscape are paramount. Every project creates spaces that harmonize with their environment, blending timeless elegance, impeccable functionality, and a profound emotional connection to place.

Among his most notable works are landmark villas in ultra-exclusive estates such as La Zagaleta (Casa Magda – originally by Marcos Sáinz and renovated by Maurice, Toro Jabonero, Sultana, Sierra Blanca, Guadalmina, Camoján, and others, as well as standout commercial projects like Kabuki Madrid and La Melonera, celebrated for their refined fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean aesthetics.

During Maurice’s tenure, the studio earned prestigious accolades, including the Premio Nacional El Suplemento 2020 in the Architecture category and the Premio Andalucía Excelente 2019 for professional excellence.

From the heart of Puerto Banús, Maurice led a multidisciplinary team of architects, interior designers, urban planners, and graphic specialists, dedicated to crafting tailor-made residences and developments that defined the pinnacle of luxury architecture in Spain and beyond.

“The essence of a home lies in the perfect design of its spaces and their fluid dialogue with one another, always in harmony with light, landscape, and the lives of those who inhabit it.” – Maurice Sáinz
