This project is located on a plot in the central area of the La Zagaleta residential estate in Benahavís. Positioned in a dominant setting, the site allows the house to be oriented to the southwest, offering uninterrupted views over the La Zagaleta golf course, extending all the way to the Strait of Gibraltar.

The design of the house follows the principles of a contemporary classical architectural style, updating traditional lines and volumes to produce a sober and elegant result.

The spatial organization is centered around a prominent feature: a large double-height interior courtyard covered by an expansive skylight. The entrance hall, which opens onto this courtyard, features a sweeping curved staircase that adds movement and serves as a visual counterpoint to the overall linear composition. From this vestibule, a continuous visual axis leads through the central courtyard, across the grand living room, through the garden, and ultimately aligns with the swimming pool, which traces the horizon against the backdrop of the Strait of Gibraltar.

All main living and social areas are interconnected, while still allowing for the possibility of compartmentalization to create different scenarios and atmospheres. Private quarters are distributed to ensure privacy, with each space independently designed to maintain the same sense of openness and spatial quality that defines the entire residence.

The basement was conceived as an integral part of the home, hosting social living spaces with selective openings to the outside, maintaining light and connection to the landscape.

Landscape design plays a fundamental role in the project—without it, the overall vision would be incomplete. In this project, we had the opportunity to design down to the smallest detail, including the selection of all materials. The result is a truly «glocal» design—global in vision, local in execution—where every element is understood as essential to the integrity of the whole.
