Located in Mingachevir, Azerbaijan, we developed the project for a large residence of approximately 3,500 m². The design was based on an existing structure from the original project, which had become insufficient to meet the owner’s needs.
With careful attention to the new program and using the existing structure as a framework—while considering the location in a wooded area overlooking a river—the design was conceived with the fundamental premise of creating a direct relationship between interior and exterior spaces. These are intersected and connected through architectural volumes and natural landscaping forms.
A solid ground floor serves as a base, providing a visual counterpoint to the lighter upper floor. On the ground level, porches and walls are designed both to absorb the exterior space and to connect the interior with the outdoors, establishing a harmonious relationship throughout the entire project.
