This master plan is the continuation of a development already consolidated by La Quinta group. It is being developed in a plot measuring 2,300,000 m2 in the municipality of Benahavís, next to Marbella. This is a high quality real estate development that is joined to the existing development by means of the golf course itself, creating one of the largest golf facilities in Andalusia.
Primarily residential, it is built in the high hills and in clusters surrounded by the golf course to promote views and respect the natural lay of the land. The development was designed to be built on seven main hills, where the residential areas were to be located, and in a central area, which comprises the facilities and services hub. The plan involved building approximately 1,400 homes scattered around the hills and developed in different phases.
The facilities hub consists of shops, offices, a hotel, a golf club, swimming pools, a sports and shopping centre, and the golf course. The various groups of dwellings are built on the existing hills, leaving large wooded spaces between them in order to minimise their impact on the natural topography and integrate the buildings into the landscape. Each cluster is developed in the style of a small Mediterranean village, blending the traditional architectural style of the region with elements of contemporary architecture.
