In Mingacevir, Azerbaijan we developed a plan for a large house measuring around 3,500 m2 that was based on an existing structure from the original plan, which had failed to meet the needs required of the property. Paying close attention to the new agenda, the design emerged using the existing structure as a frame and taking into account the location: a wooded riverfront area. The basic remit was to create a direct relationship between the exterior and the interior, intersecting and connecting the two through architectural structures and natural volumes of the landscaping.

A solid ground floor was created as a basement to contrast with the lightness of the upper floor. The porches and walls on the ground floor serve not only to absorb the exterior space but also to connect the interior with the exterior, establishing perfect equilibrium throughout the whole plan.
